I crafted the Women@ Facebook word mark with the intent to encompass the group's values and mission: To connect, empower, and innovate. Creating a script logo was risky. I didn't want it to feel dainty or too feminine in nature, but still wanted it to carry some whimsy and warmth. I landed on this script with hard lines above and below to force some technicality but bringing focus into the more organic, inside portion.
It was also important for the word mark to pair well with other Facebook brand elements. It's just complex enough to stand alone for headline element, but lacks deep intricacies or iconography so that it can be pulled in for sub-branding purposes.
