This project came at the convergence of multiple related creative requests for helping Facebook's rapidly growing AI and Machine Learning teams to unify work under a more vibrant design system.
Last year, this team worked with a rad creative agency who crafted a baseplate brand system. I used the patterns from their work and paired it with a brighter gradient palette resulting in a strong set of slide backgrounds and event/group cover photos.
A need for sub-team identities, I crafted an icon system rooted in the almighty hexagon.
A lightweight scrub of our internal wiki showed the system in use.
